FRANCISTOWN: Some members of the Botswana National Sports Council (BNSC) management were reportedly in the city last Thursday to meet their Francistown City Council (FCC) counterparts to discuss the hosting of the Botswana Games here. BNSC Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Percy Raditladi led the delegation from Gaborone.

Officials from the district commissioner's office here were also reported to be part of the meeting. While both BNSC and FCC would not give details, an insider shed some light on what transpired at the meeting."The BNSC officials were merely here to notify the FCC about their desire to host the next edition of the Botswana Games in the city.

"The preliminary discussions also looked at how both the FCC and BNSC could work together to deliver successful games. "Another meeting will be held at a date to be mutually agreed by both parties. It is anticipated Minister of Youth Sport and Culture Shaw Kgathi will take part.
