FRANCISTOWN: The umbrella body of sport in the country-Botswana National Sports Council (BNSC) was yesterday cagey on the recent reinstatement of Lands and Facilities staff.

After a widely publicised suspension of Lands and Facilities department trio last year October, the BNSC stealthily reinstated them on December 4.

BNSC had suspended Lands and Facilities manager Golesedi Chankuluba, as well as staff members Gakenaope Boy and Omponye Radinotshe. Other departments within the BNSC suspended and dismissed some staff members in what was strongly believed to be a purging of staff members associated with the former CEO, Kitso Kemoeng. Their suspension letters read in part: "You are suspended from office for an indefinite period pending investigation into the affairs of Lands and Facilities department."
