Botswana National Sport Commission (BNSC) affiliates are crying foul after their grants for the 2016/2017 financial year were slashed significantly.

BONA has received P720,000 a decline from last year’s P800,000 last year. BONA president, Tebogo Lebotse-Sebego said yesterday that they are disappointed considering that they will be hosting the 2017 Netball World Youth Cup and its qualifications. She said they expected more funding from BNSC.

“We had submitted a budget of P1,3 million for development, P1 million for the senior team, P4,8 million for the Under-21 team and P500,000 for administration including coaches and umpires development,” she said.
