BNOC maintains focus on Olympic targets

Botswana National Olympic Committee (BNOC) president, Negroes Kgosietsile has reminded participants at the on-going Olympic Solidarity Boxing Star coaching course about the ambitious targets set for the London 2012 Olympic Games.

He revealed that the target for next year's Olympics is no less than two medals, preferably gold while the target for the 2016 event is four medals. Kgosietsile was speaking at the official opening of the boxing star coaching course in Gaborone yesterday. It runs until August 16. The aim is to improve boxing standards in the country.

The course is hosted by the International Amateur Boxing Association (AIBA) chief  instructor, Carmine Fracasso and is attended by teachers and coaches from the local boxing clubs. Kgosietsile said the course presents an opportunity for the participants to plough back what they will learn.
