BMC Striker Goes AWOL

A month after disappearing from BMC, striker Kenny "Shoes" Ledikwe is yet to report at the club. This is despite attempts by the team's management to have the former Gaborone United (GU) marksman back in Lobatse. The lanky forward was the team's pillar of strength during the just-ended league season despite suffering injuries, which kept him out of action from some games.

When the transfer window opened in June, it was reported that Ledikwe's former club (GU) had liked to re-register him for the 2007-08 season. BMC team manager Thabo Motswetla told Monitor Sport at the weekend that he has tried several times to get the sharp-shooter back into the Ezinkomo kraal but to no avail.

"He just disappeared, leaving his belongings in the house we had allocated him. We hear that he is training with GU but I can't confirm that yet because I have no evidence. But we rate Ledikwe highly, which is why we are disappointed at the way he is handling this matter," Motswetla said.
