Blu tree bowl out Minjex Mokwepa

Minjex Mokwepa players walked into the field oozing confidence on Saturday evening but left a dejected lot after they were bowled out by Blue Tree Tshukudu in the Thuntsha Cricket League.

With 92 all out, Mokwepa failed to overhaul Blue Tree's 122 for nine and lost by 31 runs. With 39 runs Faisal Rana Rasheed and Asim Siddiqui with three for 17 were the stars of Blue Tree while Reggie Nehonde with 23 runs was outstanding for Minjex. But the man of the match was Thabang Nshomane of Blue Tree Tshukudu who had a brilliant game in an all round performance.   The first match of the day was between Mall Motors Tau and UAE Exchange. Mall Motors batted first and scored 132 runs for nine.  UAE Exchange replied with 135 runs for four and won by six wickets.

The outstanding players for Mall Motors were Imran Pathan with 43 runs and Manan Barot who took four wickets for 21. For UAE Exchange, Feroze Ghaswala made 57 runs. The man of the match was Manan Barot of UAE Exchange.  Thuntsha T-20 comprises of four teams, Minjex Mokwepa, UAE Exchange Nkwe, Mall Motors Tau and Blue Tree Tshukudu. The tournament is played in a round robin. It is expected to end on February 15. The tournament is meant to give the national team match practice. It gives the players a chance to play against each other.
