Black day for The Reds in Egypt

Gaborone United (GU) arrived home last evening from a disastrous trip to Egypt, where they were humiliated 8-1 by Haras El Hodood on Saturday to crash out of the CAF Confederations Cup, 8-2 on aggregate.

The Reds departed in high spirits last week, taking a slender 1-0 lead to Alexandria, only to return with their morale deflated.

El Hodood are known to be ruthless at home, but few imagined GU losing by such a wide margin. GU arrived at El Hodood's Alexandria backyard aware that two fancied clubs had conceded 10 goals at the venue.
