FRANCISTOWN: The Botswana Integrated Sport Association (BISA) national athletics finals will be held here at the Francistown Sports Complex this weekend, ending a brief one year absence.

BISA’s marketing and communications manager, Letsweletse Jonas said the 46-year-old competition returns a year after last year’s absence due to lack of financial support from their traditional sponsor, the Ministry of Education and Skills Development.

“We experienced a financial setback last year because of lack of funds from our main sponsor. However, we enjoyed support from several other sponsors in the past years but due to our instability in terms of consistency then, sponsors pulled back,” he said.
