The Premier League's outstanding performer is guaranteed at least P50, 000 when the Botswana Premier League (BPL) awards the best players from the just ended beMOBILE Premier League at a ceremony to held at Boipuso Hall in Gaborone tonight.

The Player of the Season award, which is always the toast of the ceremony, is contested by two Mochudi Centre Chiefs players, Joel Mogorosi and Kekaetswe 'Mara' Moloi as well as Township Rollers' defender, Oscar Ncenga. Both Mogorosi and Moloi were top goal scorers, and automatically win the Green Boot award. They have each found the back of the net 26 times and are expected to share the P25, 000 prize money. Mogorosi has been his team's most influential player, until he incurred an arm injury that ruled him out of the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) finals. He has shown great improvement, especially in being able to whip in beautiful cross; something that has been his weakness for the better part of his football career. His scintillating displays have attracted attention from teams in neighbouring countries.

His team mate, Moloi has also done equally well after being on the sidelines at Chiefs for many seasons. Moloi was given the tough task of filling Moemedi Moatlhaping's boots; he grabbed the opportunity with both hands. His goals, especially at the time of Mogorosi's injury, kept Chiefs in the driving seat for the League title. His displays caught the attention of national team selectors and is now part of the Zebras set up. Ncenga on the other hand, might have missed out on a third successive league medal, but was again Rollers' backbone. He is one of the most consistent players in the League, ever since his break in to Rollers' first line up two seasons ago. At the time of his big breakthrough, he partnered with Zimbabwean defender, Itayi Gwandu and seems to have learnt a lot from him. Like Moloi, his efforts have not gone unnoticed by national team selectors.
