BFA reveals Under-17 programme

The Botswana Football Association (BFA) yesterday revealed a comprehensive preparations schedule for the Under-17 team that will be competing at the 10th CAN Under-17 Championships billed for Morocco in April.

The programme is included in the association's calendar of events for this year. Botswana has been slotted in Group A alongside hosts Morocco, Tunisia and Gabon in the tournament scheduled to start on April 13.  The team will not have a continuous camp but will engage in a series of weekend camps starting today until the weekend of March 15-17. 

They will then assemble for a full camp  March 22 until their departure on March 31. In between the weekend camps, the team will play some international friendly matches and practice matches against premier league clubs.
The team's first friendly match will be on the weekend of February 1-3 against either Nigeria or Ghana. Both Nigeria and Ghana have qualified for the championship and will play each other in Group B.  This will be followed by a four nations tournament to be hosted in Botswana that also includes South Africa, Namibia and Zambia. The tournament will be played in Molepolole from February 14-17.
