Zebras' players who used their money to pay for an overnight stay in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia en-route from the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Chad were expected to be reimbursed yesterday.

"We are in the process of paying them back and hopefully that will be done today (yesterday)," the Botswana Football Association (BFA) chief executive officer, Judge Mookodi said yesterday. SuperSport United pair of Diphetogo 'Dipsy' Selolwane and Gabonamong Mogogi footed the accommodation bill when they were stranded in Addis Ababa with fellow Zebras' players Boitumelo Mafoko of Cape Town Santos and Jerome Ramatlhakwana of Vasco da Gama. The incident arose after the four players arrived in the Ethiopian capital for an overnight stay to wait for the connecting flight and found that the accommodation arrangements by BFA had backfired.

The association insists there was a mix-up and their travel agent is to blame for the state of affairs. Mookodi said the BFA will pay the players and then deal with the travel agency.
