BFA pleads with the nation

Botswana Football Association (BFA) have appealed to the nation to remain calm as the association tries to solve their concerns over the poor performances of the national team.

This follows demands from soccer fans that coach Colwyn Rowe be shown the door after a series of dismal performances by the Zebras. Since Rowe took charge of the national team in 2006, there has been an outcry that the team has lost its touch and this has contributed to dwindling attendances at the games. The last straw came at the weekend when the Zebras suffered an embarrassing 3-0 defeat at the hands of a third string Chipolopolo XI in the African Nations Championship (CHAN) played in Lusaka, Zambia.

While the BFA has continued to protect their main 'man' over the last months, they bowed to public pressure this week and admitted that something needs to be done before the situation gets worse.
