The Botswana Football Association (BFA) has explained why it sent an administrator and not a member of the technical team as part of an advance team to Chad, Zebras' next opponents in a crucial 2012 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier next weekend.

BFA president, David Fani, cleared the air at a media briefing in Gaborone yesterday. Journalists demanded to know why BFA National Executive Member (NEC), Eatametse Olopeng was sent on the inspection trip alongside BFA technical director, Sonnyboy Sethibe, ahead of a member of the technical team.

Fani explained that they sent Olopeng and not someone from coach Stanley Tshosane's technical team, because as an administrator, Olopeng would be able to monitor issues concerning administration like visa applications.
