BFA fails to secure First Division sponsorship

The Botswana Football Association (BFA) has failed to secure sponsorship for the First Division league.

BFA marketing and communications officer, Phakamile Kraai said the association is still looking for prospective sponsors though he did not indicate whether they are negotiating with any company. 

The last sponsor of the league was Med Rescue six seasons back.  Since the company withdrew its sponsorship, BFA has not attracted any financial backer for the competition. The only prize in the First Division is promotion to the Premier League for the team that finishes first in the North and South categories. The runners-up from both the North and South participate in the play-offs to decide the third club to join the Premier League.
