*Govt to the rescue
The Botswana Football Association (BFA) has denied misleading the nation regarding the Zebras' preparations for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) finals.

An authoritative source close to developments had claimed the BFA was not being honest by saying there were insufficient funds for the preparations. The source had disputed the BFA's version, arguing the officials wanted to cover up for their shortcomings.

"That is all lies. The BFA leadership is trying to cover up for its shortcomings. What money are they talking about?" the source asked. However, Sebetela insists that preparations were hamstrung by low cash reserves. Of the P6 million, which the government had allocated the BFA for the preparations, Sebetela said there is only a balance of P2.4 million.
