BFA Calls For Patience As First Division Clubs Lose Hope

The Botswana Football Association (BFA) has called for patience as First Division clubs vent their frustrations over the unfulfilled promises to get a sponsor for the league. Early this year, the BFA announced that the First Division will get a sponsor for the league but this has not happened.

It is a month since the season concluded and there is no word from Lekidi Centre about sponsorship. Clubs have lost hope and some say they are tired of waiting.

Young Strikers' secretary, Jacob Tshube says he has always had his reservations regarding the sponsorship deal. "One night we were sent SMSs that there would be a (sponsorship) launch in two days. Another message came saying it had been postponed and no names of the so-called sponsors were mentioned," Tshube says.
