The Botswana Football Association (BFA) announced yesterday that Mooketsi Tosh Kgotlele is its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). He replaces Thabo 'Styles' Ntshinogang whose three-year contract expires next month. Kgotlele becomes the fifth BFA CEO. He brings with him a wealth of experience from the business and football worlds.

He has served as a sales and marketing manager of Kgalagadi Breweries; and Bolux Milling. He is a former vice chairman of Notwane Football Club. He is currently serving as vice chairman of the Kgatleng Regional Football Association. He will resign the post before taking up his new role on August 1.

BFA president, Phillip Makgalemele said yesterday that the appointment of Kgotlele is very important for Botswana football because he will lead the association towards the 2010 World Cup in neighbouring South Africa. He praised outgoing CEO Ntshinogang for the tremendous job he has done for the country. "Ntshinogang shall be remembered for heading the BFA secretariat when for the first time we clinched a sponsorship deal from private sector of a million Pula, first from Orange for the Zebras and then from Mascom for the Premier League," he said. He said it was during Ntshinogang's term that BFA secured support for other leagues.
