BFA apologises to Mascom over protests

The tournament was rocked by Mochudi Centre Chiefs’ protest, challenging the legitimacy of Township Rollers midfielder, Ofentse Nato soon after their semi-final first leg clash in February. Since then the issue has dragged on, and at some point, it was feared it might affect the progress of the tournament.
“We regret the events from the semi-final, which were not normal. We apologise to the sponsor for the bumpy road we did not envisage,” BFA chief executive officer, Kitso Kemoeng said at a press briefing on Wednesday.
