Bears maul wipers in Softball Tournament

Bears rose from a first inning slump to massacre Wipers 16-4 in a weighted Shell Softball League final elimination round encounter played at the National Diamond on Saturday.

The game had an eventful start with pre-match favourites Bears only managing one point, while Wipers threatened to run riot over their much-fancied opponents with three bottom one inning runs.

Wipers  captain, Kelly Kgolagano Onkokile, Neo Malope and Totozani Moyo thrust them into the lead. They had started off well and the sizeable crowd that witnessed the match thought Bears were up for an upset.
