BDF XI showed glimpses of what to expect when the much anticipated second round of the be MOBILE Premier League kicks off when they overcame Township Rollers and Uniao Flamengo Santos to win a friendly tournament at SSKB Stadium on Saturday.

The tournament also included Lobatse giants, Extension Gunners who kicked-off the event against Santos on Saturday morning. Both sides paraded new players in their line-ups.  Former BDF XI striker, Apula Apula was among the new players that made the starting line up against Santos. Santos on the other hand paraded former Gaborone United (GU) goalkeeper, Kgosietsile Senjoba. The two sides failed to score in normal time and in the post-match penalty shootout, Santos emerged 4-2 victors. Senjoba was the hero saving one of the penalties.
The second match saw BDF XI lock horns with Township Rollers. It was Rollers who broke the ice first through Kobamelo Kebaikanye following a good build up from the midfield.

However BDF XI equalised moments later through Jones Kwape who easily fired home in a one-on-one face-off with Rollers' goalkeeper, Botlhe Moralo. Kwape was released by Ofentse Mmipi who capitalised on the space left by Rollers' defender, Simisane Mathumo on the right. Moralo was one of the new faces at Rollers, together with former Notwane winger, Kitso Tlhowe. Rollers defence looked shaky throughout the match, allowing Mmipi, Kwape and Mokgathi Mokgathi to make a nuisance of themselves. Skillful winger, Molatedi Mabina scored BDF XI's winning goal after Rollers' defence was caught napping.
