BDF XI Continue To Fire Blanks

BDF XI continued with their poor shooting form when they were held to a goalless draw by rookies Boteti Young Fighters in a dull Mascom Premier League game at the SSKB Stadium on Saturday.

Since the season started, BDF XI have been pathetic in front of goal and have consequently managed to find the back of the net only twice in six games so far. Sadly for the soldiers-dominated side their key strikers Edwin Kamwimba and System Mubi have been missing action because of injury and suspension respectively.  BDF XI coach Stanley Tshosane admitted after the game that they have a serious problem of scoring and that he will have to come up with a fresh strategy if they are to make any impression this season. While Mubi will be available for the next game, Kamwimba will only start training in the next four weeks. "We did not have somebody to convert the chances we created but I am happy that we have not lost the game. I am happy that System (Mubi) will be back in the next game," said a clearly disappointed Tshosane. This week, the BDF XI tactician will have to come up with a better strategy to beat a fast-improving Uniao Flamengo Santos this coming weekend.

For his part, Boteti coach Kenneth Mogae said that the game was tough but was made worse by the fact that his charges did not stick to the game plan. "We wanted to close them down in the middle because we knew that upfront they were weak.
