BDF XI agonise over misfiring strikers

The departure of top strikers Mpho 'Jomo' Mabogo, Bernard Semakwezi and Kenanao 'Flo' Kgetholetsile has led to a goal drought at BDF XI.

BDF XI coach Stanley Tshosane has failed to find good replacements for the departed duo with the result that his side lacks punch in attack. After 12 games in the Mascom Premier League, Matabele have only scored a paltry three goals this season.

The former national champions are out of the running for the league title unlike last season when they sustained a challenge to the last stages. They have scored the least number of goals in the league as the two strikers they signed this season, System Mubi from Extension Gunners and Edward Kamwimba from Township Rollers, fire blanks. They have found it difficult to emulate the exploits of the departed BDF XI strikers, especially Mabogo who was one of the top scorers last season.
