BDF VI faces punishment from the Confederation of African Volleyball Body (CAVB) after it failed to take part in the men's African Club Championships currently going on Libya.

The club could not make it to the competition because it did not have money despite the fact that it confirmed participation and paid attendance fees.

This is not the first time that the army side had failed to appear at the event. Last year, the club did not take part in the tournament because of lack of funds. The Botswana Volleyball Federation (BVF) officials did not know the kind of punishment to be meted out to BDF VI as they are still waiting for word from Libya. Last year, the club escaped punishment because it had not confirmed participation in the tournament unlike this time.
