BDF top NDF in military games

FRANCISTOWN: Botswana soldiers topped their Namibian counterparts during the annual bilateral games at Donga Camp military stadium over the weekend.

Though Botswana dominated the games, it was no match for Namibia when it came to athletics. The Namibian Defence Force (NDF) was unstoppable in marathon and track events while the Botswana Defence Force (BDF) was dominated in the ball games.

In soccer, BDF beat NDF 5-3 through penalties. In netball, BDF won 3-0 but fell 3-1 in volleyball. The games are meant to foster good relations between the BDF and NDF. The two countries host the annual event in turns.
