BDF IX down Police

BDF IX men edged out Police IX 5-3 in an exciting Estate Construction Softball League match on Saturday. The win saw them move to 32 points with only a game to go before the curtain comes down on the league.

The soldiers showed strength of character when they bounced back from an early 0-2 deficit to emerge tops. Police batter Ben Thamage got the first home run of the game in the second inning.

But a resurgent BDF showed why they have steam-rolled past all their opponents this season when they bounced back in the third inning through the second home run. The two teams went to the third run tied on 2-2 but the soldiers proved to be too strong for the policemen.
