BDF Cats put up a solid team effort to trounce UB Crystals 60-18 in a Spar Good For You Netball League encounter played at the BONA courts on Saturday.

BDF had an upper hand right from the onset and quickly established a 10-3 lead with Lemogang Mogametsi at GS and Hildah Binang at GA sinking their first few attempts. Crystals suddenly woke up and fought back, making timely interceptions but despite good work in the defensive circle from Francinah Eymen the quarter time score was 13-5 to BDF.

In the initial stages of the second quarter, play was evenly balanced as Crystals piled on the pressure and BDF failed to convert many of their opportunities. As the game progressed, the two teams started making stray passes, as well as some timely interceptions.Once again, Eymen worked extremely hard in this quarter to close down Tebogo Radipotsane, who replaced Mogametsi at the start of the quarter. BDF pulled away leading 26-8 at half-time.
