BCL hands over P1 million office block to Nico

SELEBI-PHIKWE: BCL Mine has recently handed over an administration block and change-rooms worth more than P1 million to the town's premier league campaigners, Nico United.The facilities are located at the team's grounds near the mine plant.

BCL has a sponsorship agreement with Nico United in respect of be Be Mobile Premier League. It assists the team to cover kits, transport and accommodation expenses among others.According to the mine's Public Relations and Marketing Manager James Molosankwe, the partnership enables Nico to aggressively compete in the premier league and provide recreation and entertainment for residents. He added that the completion of the facilities is the culmination of a sound relationship BCL mine has enjoyed with Majombolo for more than two decades.

Molosankwe stated that the construction of the facilities and the association of BCL mine with Nico United are also central to the mine's Corporate Social Investment programme.He said that it also demonstrates the company's intention to live up to the ideals of National Vision 2016. "Moreover BCL shows its commitment to develop sports in Botswana," he said. The office block comprises team manager/ coach's office, administrator's office, storeroom, restrooms, kitchen and conference room. The building is fully equipped and offices and meeting rooms are air- conditioned. Other amenities include Internet, telephone, projectors and screen for team presentations and tactical theory tests.
