BCF aligns strategic plan

The Botswana Chess Federation (BCF) has aligned its strategic plan with that of the Botswana National Sports Council (BNSC).

The move is meant to ensure the continued development of chess. BCF secretary general, Kenneth Boikhutswane said it is imperative that they align the strategy so that they operate in tandem with the BNSC. The four-year BCF strategic plan came into effect this year. It ends at the same time when the BNSC 2012 Sports Vision is supposed to be realised.

A recent BCF annual meeting resolved that the powers of the executive committee be decentralised through the election of sub-committees to deal with pertinent issues.
