The Botswana Africa Youth Games Organising Committee (BAYGOC) is planning to hype the countdown to the 2014 edition of the event with a number of periodic activities.

The hype starts on Sunday to mark 200 days before Botswana hosts the games. The next commemoration will be held with 150 days to go while the last will be at the 50-day mark. BAYGOC chief executive officer, Tuelo Serufho said they had invited National Olympic Committees in Africa to depict the number 200 in creative ways.

“We have asked them to take pictures and send them or post them on their social network pages. At a local level, we are working with our partners to commemorate the 200 days mark by depicting the number 200,” Serufho told Mmegi Sport. He called on members of the public to do the same, saying some of the pictures will appear in the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA) publication.
