Basketball team aborts trip due to visa delays

Deeds basketball team has failed to make its debut in the Federation of International Basketball Associations (FIBA) 3x3 continental champions tournament after they failed to get visas on time.

Deeds had replaced champions, PoshRentless in the competition, which was supposed to start on June 11, but late visa applications meant the trip was aborted.

“The passports were submitted less than a week before the departure date and they came two days after the day we were supposed to leave for Ivory Coast,” BBA public relations officer, Tumelo Boima said.
