Mathematically, at least nine teams are still facing relegation, but Motlakase, TAFIC, Jwaneng Comets, Killer Giants and Boteti Young Fighters are clear candidates for the drop.
The five teams cannot afford to lose any more games with an average of four games left before the end of the campaign.
Motlakase, who at one stage looked a safe bet for a top eight finish, find themselves sinking. Selebi-Phikwe Stadium will host one of the games that could temporarily define the log at the bottom when Motlakase host Jwaneng Comets tomorrow evening. Both sides cannot afford defeat and a victory for either side will re-ignite their chances of survival while a loss could literally send one before the dreaded axe.
