Arsenal faces sanctions for missing fixtures

FRANCISTOWN: Botswana Netball Association (BONA) Northern Zone League committee is investigating why Arsenal failed to honour its last fixtures of the season. The struggling Serowe side was scheduled to play Sua Flamingoes and Morupule Wanderers last Saturday at Kgaswe netball courts at Palapye but failed to turn up.

Northern Zone League committee chairperson, Kgomotso Mtokufa said no official communication was received from Arsenal about the failure to honour the fixtures.

She said investigations into the matter have been launched. Mtokufa said the zone will first establish whether the club was aware of the fixtures. “Any team that fails to honour a fixture will forfeit two points and five goals,” she stated.
