Another false start for volleyball league

The start of the national volleyball league has been postponed again because of delays in sealing a sponsorship deal with mobile phone service provider, Mascom.

The league was supposed to start this weekend but the Botswana Volleyball Federation (BVF) has announced that kick-off has been pushed to August 23. Without giving details, BVF president, Daniel Molaodi said that the postponement has been necessitated by sponsorship issues.

He said he will reveal  the specifics after the sponsorship deal is sealed. "Go na le bothata" (There is a problem) but we cannot discuss that with you now," Moalodi said.
