Bears succumbed to their fourth successive Shell Softball League defeat as they went down 14-8 despite a last gasp effort in their tie against Blue Angels on Saturday afternoon.

Bears who had dramatically levelled scores from 8-2 lost the game in the final inning as their opponents went on a rampage, scoring six runs in the closing inning.

Angels had a relatively fair start to the game after managing two runs in the top one inning. Bears conceded the first run after failing to catch Motshidisi Hunyepa's fly ball, allowing Mogotsi Kgari and Mabedi Senyerero to get easy runs. After some poor fielding that allowed their opponents to surge ahead, Bears went on to struggle with their batting.
