All Kasi launches vicious attack on BFA

Zebras' technical sponsor, All Kasi has come out with guns blazing, criticising the Botswana Football Association (BFA) for discussing their relationship in the media.

All Kasi issued a press statement yesterday attacking the soccer mother body for the handling of its affairs concerning the sponsorship. BFA officials have all but admitted that the All Kasi technical sponsorship, which expires in August, will not be renewed. This is despite All Kasi expressing interest in continuing with the partnership. The BFA has set stringent requirements for prospective sponsors, among them, demanding that the new partner should pay Û150,000 (approximately P1.4million) per season for three years.

"While the use of the Euro in a Pula monetary zone might be interpreted by some people as an indication of where the new Zebras technical sponsor will come from, we are concerned that the Pula equivalent of that amount could prove prohibitive for All Kasi," reads the statement. All Kasi argues that the BFA has forgotten the circumstances leading to the signing of the initial deal, which it attributes to the Zebras success.
