Zebras Qualify For AFCON 2012
Zebras qualify for AFCON - On March 26, tens of thousands of Batswana left their Saturday afternoon chores to glue their eyes to their television sets.

The event: the national soccer team plays Chad in the capital N'djamena in a Group K 2012 AFCON qualifying match. Botswana needs a win to seal qualification to the continental showpiece for the very first time.

Leading goal-scorer Jerome Ramatlhakwane scores a 50th minute goal that the Zebras manage to defend to the end of the match to send the nation into raptures. The fairytale has been completed, from whipping boys of African soccer to AFCON.
