What is being taught at the University of Botswana?

The Mmegi (16 April 2008 - page 7) printed a letter from Michael Poloko Masedi who claims to be from UB. The letter is entitled, "Okavango! The river that is..."

Well - Michael, we all know that you are not part of the Geography faculty. We know this from your comment, "It's a unique river in the sense that it emanates from the sea or ocean..."

In fact, the Okavango emanates from the highlands of Angola and dissipates into Lake Ngami and Mopipi Pan long before it reaches the sea. That is what makes the Okavango River remarkable, because it is one of the few rivers of the world that never reaches the sea. It is not unique because, if it were, it would be the only one of its kind. I think there is another example in Australia and, I challenge you to prove me wrong. Now there's a real research project!
