Vote Wisely On March 15

On March 15, 2008 registered Batswana voters will be queuing to elect their representatives with the hope that they will in turn advocate for them against the socio-economic problems that presently painfully occupy this country.

We in the Botswana Congress Party Youth League would like to communicate some details to the voters countrywide, who will be voting on March 15 with the aim of assisting them to make the right decisions through their vote. We would like all those who will vote to know that their vote is the key to a better future; their vote is a weapon they can use to bring down those who have been taking them for granted, and it is a means they can use as a voice to elect those they can trust as their voice.

It is an open scenario that Batswana are currently living in the most difficult times of their lives since independence, all as a result of the ruling BDP's wayward and heartless policies. There is high rate of youth unemployment and even the few that are working are paid meagre salaries and as if that is not enough, the ruling BDP government made a joke of all times when public servants expected a 35 percent salary increase but got a paltry 15 percent increase.
