Traffic enumerators not redundant

Reference is made to an article which appeared on page 4 of Mmegi edition of 07 August 2008 entitled "Traffic officers declared redundant".

In that story the paper reported that all the 50 traffic enumerators in the Department of Roads face an uncertain future because they will soon be replaced by computers.

There are two types of traffic enumerators at the Department.  Weighbridge enumerators have been posted at all inland and Border posts, such as Tlokweng, Pioneer-Gate, Ramatlabama, Mamuno, Sehitwa, Kazungula, Francistown, Ramokgwebana, Serule, Martin's Drift and Dibete.  Ngoma Weighbridge is  currently not functional.
