The opposition does not hate soldiers

Of recent the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) top hierarchy has been trying all the tricks in the book to cause confusion between honourable Dumelang Saleshando and Botswana Defence Force (BDF) electorates. The activists, including the party's executive Secretary Dr Comma Serema, have been writing letters to the newspapers with the sole intention of discrediting Saleshando and the Botswana Congress Party (BCP).

We Batswana, regardless of political affiliation are very proud of Saleshando. He is one of, if not, the most effective member of parliament despite the fact that he is the sole BCP MP. There is no doubt that the leadership of the BDP is starting to wake up from its temporary numbness and facing the reality that the BCP has become a force to be reckoned with.

The BDP has started panicking with the thought of the BCP having more Saleshandos after the next elections. With Dumelang giving them sleepless nights the thought of having Bosalishando ba le bantsi in parliament scares the BDP. The official opposition Botswana National Front (BNF) does not threaten the BDP and as such the BDP leadership is starting to realise that the pact between BCP, Botswana Alliance Movement (BAM), and National Democratic Front (NDF) has become a threat.
