The Herald and Zvayi make me sick!

Editor, do The Herald, and Zvayi not make you sick like me? The Herald, which is essentially ZANU-PF's propaganda machine, is in the habit of manufacturing and publishing malicious propaganda about my country, Botswana.

A while ago, they went on about how Botswana apologised to the Zim government for her stand on Mugabe. It also alleged that Botswana acknowledged being misled by the MDC leader, Tsvangirai. Then came the AFRICOM lies, where the same paper shamelessly reported that Botswana had agreed to host the  AFRICOM army base.

What I fail to understand is, since change is eminent in Zimbabwe, which war is the The Herald still fighting for Mugabe? Its master, ZANU PF, was defeated in the elections. That should have been the time to close shop. The editor and the rest of Mugabe's other cronies should have looked for other jobs. Zvayi, former political editor left Zims and found himself a job, except he landed in the wrong country! The Herald must understand that Botswana is not the cause of Zim's problems. In fact, we have been Zim's food basket, and have provided in many ways for our Zimbabwean brothers and sisters. The major deficiency in The Herald Newsroom is the sense of hopelessness that comes with the knowledge that right and justice are both not on their side. If The Herald is truly a newspaper, then it has a duty to carry stories, which are not only truthful but also objective. But then, this is not possible for The Herald is it?
