Ramsay unaware OP's travels of concern to Mmegi

In a front page article, under the banner headline "Mogae hikes, Khama flies OK1", the Mmegi newspaper of 20/6/07 reported in its opening two paragraphs that:

"This new, perhaps even strange travel arrangement seems to confirm that Vice President Ian Khama does not only have free reign over Botswana Defence Force (BDF) choppers, but he also has unlimited access to presidential amenities and privilege including the use of the presidential jet."


This editor appreciates the fact that the correspondent of the said article did call, on the night before publication, to get a general response as to why it was sensible for the Vice President to fly aboard OK 1, with its longer range, to Cuba, while H.E. the President took a chartered plane to the much closer destination of Seychelles (where he was actually on the ground for less than 48 hours).
