Quality excuses!

The gentleguys of the Nitty Gritty don't hang at the shebeen as long as they used to.

Don't get me wrong, they still frequent it regularly enough to be called regulars, the only difference now is that they don't stay as long as they used to. Before, the fellows would arrive at around 5:30 pm. Every 30 minutes someone gets up and makes some flimsy excuse. The excuses are so ridiculous that we are beginning to suspect that there is more to it than meets the eye.

Imagine Tshini jumping up at 7:30 pm and saying "Hey, magents, I have to go via the office and make sure gore the computers are off. Electricity is very expensive these days! What with the load shedding!"
