Although surrounded by such affluence, one section of Minestone has been neglected when it comes to development. That section comprises cottages long built by the Botswana Housing Corporation (BHC). I call them cottages least I be recommended for mental examination if I were to call them houses. They are small and crampy, making the living conditions of the inhabitants so unbearable. To add insult to injury electricity connection has always been an elusive dream for Minestone residents. The residents still use candles and paraffin lamps in this era where even the remotest of areas in Botswana have electricity. It remains the dark part of the city when night falls.
