I understand there are few who abuse the system, let them be dealt with but not punish all the members for the handful who have not complied. I know there is a lot of consultation in our beloved country-Botswana before some matters are forced on to the people. Why don't they consult us before any decisions are made? For instance, this business of having a family doctor is not a bad idea, we all love that but some circumstances may not allow you to visit your doctor and I think it is highly inconsiderate!
Imagine yourself involved in a Road traffic accident may be in Maun and your family doctor is in Gaborone. Is medical aid scheme going to call Medical rescue at midnight to fly you to Gaborone or alternatively your doctor has to fly to the scene of accident or wait for your last breath. Sincerely speaking, this is ridiculous. I am sure most members will agree with me. Please give us freedom to use our scheme, after all it is our money we are spending and don't we have any rights?
Even animals which do not talk have some rights.
