Mass Media Complex Disaster

The ministry of Communication, Science and Technology has for a while been a separate one from the overwhelmed office of the president (OP). As their name suggests, the ministry is supposed to be the leader and catalyst in the field of communication, science and technology.

After its inauguration the ministry was tainted by  the BOTEC corruption scandal and the direct editorial content control by the politicians who head the ministry either at Btv or Radio Botswana. At one point the then minister who has now left government to join Debswana, demanded Radio Botswana to discontinue the call-in segment of Masa-a-Sele (which has now been reinstated).
