Khama Is Not A Bully

This is in response to the article written by a certain Tonderai in the Zimbabwean newspaper, The Herald, dated November 9, 2008.

I don't appreciate the way you write about President Ian Khama, infact I call it slander. The SADC summit is trying to resolve the economic, political and social situation that your country is in.

I believe you, when you say they have to make recommendations but don't you think as concerned neighbours we should take a rather harsh resolution seeing that Botswana has become a safe haven for most Zimbabweans? Before you start pointing fingers at our president and calling him a bully, don't you think it is high time your so-called democratic situation is resolved once and for all. Believe it or not, I respect the ideologies that your leader has based his leadership on and that is exactly what they are, ideas; they haven't been practical for a long time. We are still developing and to think that we can just be self-reliant overnight is a dream.
