Japan delegation to visit Botswana

From August 31 to September 2nd, for the first time ever, a large scale Economic Mission from Japan will visit Gaborone, Botswana.

This Mission will be dispatched for the enhancement of bilateral trade and investment between Japan and Botswana due to the initiative taken by H.E. Yasuo Fukuda, the Prime Minister of Japan during TICAD IV (Fourth Tokyo International Conference of African Development) in May this year.

The Mission, headed by Takamori Yoshikawa, the Senior Vice Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, comprises of various private companies, members of the Diet, Ministries, and other Public Agencies. Besides Botswana, the Mission will be visiting Mozambique, Madagascar, and South Africa. Two other Missions will be dispatched around the same period to both East and West Africa.
