Is There Anything Like Marital Rape?

Media reports have indicated that women plan to push for the Marital Rape Bill. First and foremost, there is no person or a real man who can agree or approve any kind of rape.

Penal code Cap 08:01 section 141 defines rape as follows; "Any person who has unlawful carnal knowledge of another person, or who causes the penetration of a sexual organ or instrument, of whatever nature, into the person of another for the purposes of sexual gratification, or who causes the penetration of another person's sexual organ into his or her person, without the consent of such other person, or with such persons` consent if the consent is obtained by force or means of threats or intimidation of any kind, by fear of bodily harm, or by means of false pretences as to the nature of the act".

In our case, the crux of the matter is without the consent of such other person. On the other hand, the founder of marriage, God, clearly stated in Genesis 2: 18-25; that a woman came out of the rib of a man. Adam said, this is now some of my bones and flesh of my flesh and she shall be called a woman because she was taken out of man.  Now the question is can you rape your flesh? The answer is simply No. And according to our culture, this can be regarded as an abomination before God. Furthermore, Ephesians 5: 22-24 says; wives submit to your husbands as to the Lord, then verse 24 says; "now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything."
