Is the nurses' strike justified?

As a foreign medical doctor who has resided and worked in this country for more than five years, I feel sad at the ongoing battle between the government and nurses. I am well aware of the great contribution by nurses in this country in making Botswana's health sector an envy of many in the region. I am also very much aware that the government was justified in introducing scarce skills allowance and other incentives for doctors, dentists, pharmacists, physiotherapists, laboratory scientists, radiographers and other critical health workers.
